"When approaching this mix, I wanted to tie together the multiple geographical strands from West Africa, Rastafari nyabinghi and the Caribbean … in the lovers rock, roots, jazz and reggae… that might have been blaring out of SLYGO Reggae Klub’s speakers, Nicholas' parents’ Soundsystem. As well as being a journey through music, I think that mixes have a unique ability to act as sonic history lessons which transport you from place to place and across time.
